Dear colleagues
I am a beginner beekeeper from Georgia. I became interested in beekeeping several years ago and completed courses at the Center for Vocational Training and Re-training Farmers School for three months, participated in the project “Developing Beekeeping in Georgia” and finally, completed a 1-year course on beekeeping at “Aisi College” of Georgia. I have been awarded 2nd place in the National Agro-League competition in beekeeping. Due to my success in College, I was the only student awarded to attend Apimondia Congress in Istanbul in summer 2022. My areas of interest include: breeding queen bees, instrumental insemination, reservation, selection, royal jelly.
Georgian beekeeping is slowly recovering after many years of decline, but there is still a lack of resources and technology in the field. After completing my studies in Georgia, I decided to expand my knowledge and learn more about different branches of beekeeping outside of my country. I’m looking for an entry-level or internship position at the apiary, so I can learn about up-to-date methodology, technology, equipment and general practices currently used in the field.
I'm highly motivated to learn and in the future share my experience and popularize beekeeping in Georgia, especially in the poor communities, which would be very helpful to the community and the ecosystem.
I was wondering if your company has any available positions that I could be considered for. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or advice and look forward to the opportunity to dedicate my time and energy to your apiary.
Thank you,
Kakhaber Shonia
